Back on Line!

Ok, NO internet for over 24 hours and this house was going nuts! Well, Myself, Alec, and Jake, were going nuts. I couldnt figure it out at all, not the normal stuff, my normal tricks, nothing worked. I finally called Comcast this AM, and told them about the problems I found, they fixed it in about a minute.
Ahh how nice to be re-connected with the world. And it wasnt like anyone missed me too much, afterall If someone really needed to reach me they could call, But its different not having the connection, that we have all come to take for granted.
So I am pretty sure I am going to quit Walmart, and just work at The Scrapbook nook. After talking to a friend yesterday I know that is the right thing to do for me and my happiness. I have yet to mention this to Scott, and I will when I see him, But I wont see him till SAT maybe? I am off WED, but I will have to leave Jake's Game a bit early for my ' Sleep Study', which starts at 8:30 ( they wanted me at 7:30, I told them that was a bit to early) I am not looking forward to it at all, but that is another story, Back to telling Scott, Its not something I can do when he is at work when he calls me for his 2 minute call at 11:30. And its not something I can do from my work either. Anyway, I will talk to him, I am just not to sure when.

Ok, Something interesting happened at the Nook last night, One of our very good customers from there, was arrested last night At the nook, for stealing from them! A customer told us on Friday that they saw her put something in her purse, we all talked about it and then mentioned it to the owners that night. They waited till Sat night to watch the tapes, and EVERYTIME she came in (at least 2x a week) she stole something from the store! After they talked to the police they were told the tapes were all they needed and they could arrest her next time she came in, well that was MONDAY and we all knew it( she comes in to scrap every monday night) . Sure enough she was there, stole some stuff while scrapping, and after about 1 hour they called the police. She ended up confessing to the police that she has been doing it for YEARS, every time she came in, and that she does it from other places too. Its just insane, This is a gal that we all know ( I scrapped with her on Mondays before I worked there) someone that we all hug when she would come in.. and she stole from there all the time. you just never know people, do you?

Glad you're back on line! :-) We were without computer and land line phone for an entire week last month and it was VERY challenging. I got a lot more "stuff" done though. Thank goodness for cell phones though, that was a a little scary in regard to safety.

How incredibly sad about the customer at the Nook. :-( I knew there were some problems because they installed that metal/alarm thing at the door. Just a bad situation all the way around. I hope she gets the help she needs and that the store is able to recover some of their losses.

Hope your day goes well and that your chat with Scott goes well too!

LOL, Zora, I didnt get anything done at all, cause I spent so much time messing with this computer! LOL, But I can see how you get more stuff done when you are no seated here.
Yes, it is sad about the gal at the store, you just never know a person, do you?

I hope the chat goes well too!!

Hey Tami! I found you. :) I know the feeling of being without the connection. Without my computer, I have pretty much nothing here in this cow town. Glad you got Comcast to straighten it out for you. Think they could help me figure out how to change the banner on my blog? ROFL.

I'm glad you're so happy at the Nook enough to even quit WM. Good for you.

OMG what a shame about the shoplifting customer. What a shock that must have been to all of you! Particularly the owners...wow.

HUGS

Glad to see you back online. I would say that I have missed you but I haven't been online since last Thursday. I am glad that you are back up and running though. Not having internet is torture isn't it!?! I can't believe that I didn't even have a computer until I was a sophmore in college. How did I survive?

I CANNOT believe that your customer got arrested in your store. I would never be able to steal from my scrapbooking store. In Spokane, Picture Pages was like my Cheers. Everybody new my name, I cropped there, it was my home away from home. Holy crap! I wonder what is going to happen to her? Do you think she will have to go to jail? That is multiple counts of theft. Yikes! I am glad she was caught though. Stealing scrapbooking supplies is just wrong!

I totally support your decision to quit Walmart. If you can swing it financially and it will make you happy then I say go for it. Life it just too dang short to run yourself ragged. You need to enjoy your boys while they are still around.

Tami, tell Scott AFTER you quit!!! LOL! okay, maybe not.

That's is just awful about that "good" customer stealing all these years. You will never look at your customers the same way again. I worked in rertail a lot and it always made me feel sick when someone got caught stealing. It's soooo stupid and totally not worth ruining your life for.

WOW! I can't believe she's been stealing every time she went in the store. Unbelievable!

And I'm so glad to hear you want to work at The Nook only. I'm jealous! What a dream job, being around all those supplies.

Good luck in telling Scott!
